Personally, I don't feel the need to twitter because I don't think people need to know my every move. As for a teacher, I feel a blog will be more effective than a twitter account.
If you made a twitter I think it would be easier to follow you on there instead of using the blog. I would love if we used it instead of the blog because I am on twitter more so I'd reply to your posts faster.
i agree with 2TheGuysh. twitter is the new blog spot. everyone (almost) uses it. it is way more convenient, but when it comes to teachers in general, i do not think i would follow them because at times i do not like teaachers, and i vent by kind of writing comments about them such as,"man, ms. price jus gav us a pop quiz and nobody passed. wat kinda teachr is she? sumbody needs to check he teachers diploma" and i do not want a teacher seeing that because at the end of the day, i do not really hate them, i just become upset and vent out. nothing personal. also i feel teachers would not tweet about interesting things. teachers are like our parents. i do not befriend my mother on facebook nor would i follow her on twitter. its just the way it is.
If you made a twitter it would be benefical to me. I use twitter quite often so it would make it eaiser for me to remember assignments and other various topics we discuss in class. Additionally, twitter would provide me with a simple way of contacting you.
I think Twitter is to new of a Social Network for you to use as a learning tool. Most people don't like it yet or aren't "hip" or don't like the idea of it. Try Facebook if anything even though I hate it now. #FOOF (FocusedOnOurFutures)
I really don't get tweeting, I don't see the point in it. In my opinion twitter is just people saying random stuff they're doing or thinking throughout the day. It's pointless and after a while it seems like it can be some what annoying following all those people tweeting, especially seeing alot of people that tweet like everyday all day.
