Form your small group in class.
The choice is yours.  Size of the groups will be determined based on how many classes of younger students we will be working with.  Groups will be somewhere around 3-5 people.

Beginning of Class
Bullying Survey
Design a brief age-appropriate survey that will be given to the class you will be teaching.  Your survey will be handed out Friday April 15thbthe students you will teach. You will see the results On Monday April 18th to incorporate into your lesson planning.

4/19 –

Beginning of Class

Bullying Survey Reflections.
Each member of your group will compose a summary, reflection, and reaction to the results of your survey.  You will also be asked to consider what you will do with the information given.

Lesson Proposal
Your group will submit a 2 paragraph proposal by the end of the Block Day period that identifies the theme of your lesson, your rationale for choosing that theme, and 2 methods that you tentatively plan to incorporate into your lesson.  Consider:  What do you want your message to be?  Are there specific types of bullying that you would like to address?  What about the surveys that they filled out?

Written Lesson Plan
By the end of class on Tuesday, you will turn in a typed lesson plan that clarifies how your group will spend the class time that you will be spending with the younger students.  The plan must be well thought-out and organized.  Each member of your group should play some part in the preparation and/or execution of your lesson.

Your Block Day
Teach Your Lesson
You will travel to the classroom that you have been preparing to teach and you will do your thing!

Reflection Paper

You will write a 1-2 page reflection on your experience teaching the younger students.  What was this process like?  Does it feel like you made a difference? How?

Scrapbook
Your group will create a scrapbook with each of the above-mentioned pieces included.  You may also take pictures of the process and of your teaching the lesson to include in the scrapbook.

Presentation to Classmates
Each group will present their scrapbook and share the story of how their experience went.
